Day 1 Fly USA to Sydney
Day 2 You cross the International Dateline
The International Date Line is an imaginary line on the earth’s
surface that approximately coincides with the 180th meridian
(LONGITUDE), and separates the calendar date. Traveling east
across the line takes the traveler back one day; traveling
west takes the traveler forward one day.
Day 3 Welcome to Sydney, Australia
On arrival into Sydney you will need to clear customs and
make your way to the domestic terminal for your flight north
to Cairns. From Cairns you will connect to your flight service
to Wrotham Park Lodge.
Australia is the sixth largest country in the world. It’s
about the same size as the 48 mainland states of the USA and
50 percent larger than Europe, but has the lowest population
density in the world – only two people per square kilometer.
Of vast size, amazing natural wealth, awesome scenery and
exotic plant and animal life, Australia is a land of the unexpected.
It’s climate and the fact that it is the driest continent
on earth makes it a fabulous holiday destination all year
round, whatever you’re planning to do.
Arrive Wrotham Park
In combining the rich heritage of Australia's rural history
and classic outback cattle station life with a premium resort
experience, Wrotham Park Lodge provides a unique opportunity
for you to engage with Australia's heartland. Immerse yourself
in the rugged beauty of vast landscapes and engage in activities
that showcase legendary outback life and the experiences of
outback stockman.
Wrotham Park Lodge caters to a maximum of just 20 guests,
providing an unparalleled outback experience that brings together
wilderness, wildlife and a hint of luxury.
Day 4 Half day Cattle Station tour
First stop on the 4WD tour that includes a commentary on wildlife,
geology and native flora is the Mouth Organ Yards. Depending
on the season, mustering, tagging and other yard works vital
to the cattle industry could be taking place and a Station
Guide will walk you around the Yard and provide an insight
into the workings of the Station.
You'll travel via Whip Handle Ridge - a dramatic location
where in the vast distance the boundaries of Wrotham Park
Lodge can be seen - and the tour continues to the working
station at Wrotham Park where a traditional morning tea, more
cattle station workings and a history of the property are
some of the highlights. The Old Telegraph Station, Gamboola
Station and The Lagoon are some of the other destinations
to be enjoyed before the tour returns to The Homestead for
lunch.
Day 5 Fly Wrotham Park to Cow Bay
On arrival to Cow Bay airstrip you are met by your driver
and transferred to Silky Oaks Lodge.
Nestled on the edge of the Mossman Gorge in the Daintree
Rainforest, Silky Oaks Lodge is the Daintree's ultimate resort
where this rare wilderness can be enjoyed in elegance and
ease.
From the moment you arrive at Silky Oaks, you feel the aura
of the Daintree. Vast and pristine, it is the oldest living
rainforest on Earth. The Lodge itself overlooks the Mossman
River so idyllic it has no equal for natural beauty, supreme
comfort and ease of access. There's also the added comfort
of knowing you've chosen the perfect base to explore the Tropical
North Queensland region.
Day 6 At leisure, Silky Oaks
Located on the edge of the World Heritage listed Daintree
National Park, on the banks of the Mossman River, Silky Oaks
is the ideal location from which to explore Australia's tropical
north. Without even leaving the immediate lodge area, there
is a huge choice of activities available. Take hike through
the nearby rainforest trails, go for a swim in, or a canoe
ride on the Mossman River, visit with the tame wallabies who
have made the lodge grounds their home, or enjoy a great meal
at Silky's restaurant.
Time permitting during your stay, have your hosts arrange
a 4WD Safari into the Cape Tribulation & Daintree area.
These trips can be pre-booked, or arranged on arrival. If
you have made your way to the lodge by rental car, the options
for day trips are many. Often overlooked by visitors to the
area is the nearby town of Mossman. Mossman is not a "tourist"
town, but a typical north Queensland sugar cane town. Take
a stroll down the main street, stop in for lunch at one of
the pubs, and chat with the locals. Take a train ride on the
"Balley Hoolley Express", a vintage narrow gauge
train that operates between Mossman & Port Douglas.

south of Mossman is the town of Port Douglas. "The Port"
is renowned for its range of superb restaurants. It is also
the departure point for many of the Great Barrier Reef Cruises,
including the excellent Quicksilver day cruises to Low Isles
and the Outer Barrier Reef.
Day 7 Fly Cairns to Lizard Island
You will be transferred from Silky Oaks Lodge back to Cairns
for your private charter flight to Lizard Island.
Lizard Island, Australia’s most northern island resort,
is renowned for both diving, especially the 'Cod Hole' where
you can see huge Moray Eels and the famous Potato Cod, and
game fishing for Black Marlin. Located on the Inner Great
Barrier Reef (170 miles north of Cairns), Lizard Island offers
a private paradise in an exclusive environment.
Day 8 At leisure, Lizard Island
A spectacular setting to explore the magnificent Great Barrier
Reef. Snorkel or dive 60feet from your doorstep on the world
famous reef - take a stroll to Cooks Look - visit the Marine
Research Laboratory on the island or just relax in a casual
atmosphere that is Lizard Island.
Day 9 Fly Lizard Island to Sydney (Via Cairns)
Today you will fly via private charter flight back to Cairns
before connecting to a scheduled service to Sydney. Upon arrival,
you will be met at the airport and transferred by private
vehicle to your accommodation.
Sydney, a dazzling, vibrant city built around one of the
world's most beautiful harbors, with scores of sparkling beaches
within easy reach of its cosmopolitan heart - that's Sydney,
capital of New South Wales, Australia's largest and oldest
city, where the first settlers landed in 1788.
Situated on Sydney Harbour, adjacent to Circular Quay, The
Rocks is the site of Australia's first European settlement.
Colorful streetscapes and elegantly restored buildings house
a wide variety of restaurants, entertainment venues and specialty
shops.
Days 10-11 At leisure, Sydney
At your leisure to explore the city of Sydney. It’s
been said that Sydney never sleeps. In daylight hours the
city buzzes with life and remains active long after workers
have left their offices. All-night pubs, cutting-edge dance
clubs, and gay reviews could keep you out until dawn. Fancy
a late-night meal or a final coffee - that’s not a problem.
Be seen on trendy Oxford Street from Darlinghurst to Paddington
or try the Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf, Surry Hills, the quay
or the Rocks. It’s too many choices, not too few, that
make the decision hard!
During your stay ideally you should take a harbor cruise
around one of the most beautiful harbors in the world, maybe
take a short trip to one of the wildlife parks to see the
unique animals (koalas and kangaroos) Australia has, climb
to the top of the Harbour Bridge for some awesome views, and
after all that, enjoy the great restaurants that Sydney has
to offer. The local chefs take full advantage of the fresh
seafood and produce.
Day 12 Fly Sydney to USA
You will be transferred to the airport for your departure
flight.
