Tahiti Islands: Moorea
The majesty of Moorea rises above the twin bays of Opunohu and
Cooks to the Belvedere lookout and the top of the soaring peaks
that dominate the skyline. It continues to the clear, shallow
waters of the multi-hued lagoon and beyond to spectacular sunsets
on the horizon.
Its close proximity to Tahiti makes for an easy 10-minute transfer
by plane or 30 minutes by ferry. This accessibility makes Moorea
a popular island destination for locals and "short stay"
visitors, who come from Papeete for a fun-filled day trip. Besides
relaxing on the beach, you can occupy yourself with numerous
activities. Hikes to hidden waterfalls and along mountainous
trails, horseback rides and visits to Belvedere or the Tiki
Village are very popular. For early evening enjoyment, you won't
want to miss an evening sunset cruise from Opunohu Bay aboard
the schooner "Fetia Ura." One unique and unforgettable
experience is "Dolphin Quest," where you can actually
swim and frolic with dolphins. Of course there are numerous
water activities to enjoy, from parasailing to jet skiing, scuba
diving, shark feeding and canoeing.

Dolphin Quest
The island of Moorea, one of the most exotic and beautiful
islands in the world with its exquisite beaches and pristine

the second Dolphin Quest location. Opened in 1994, the 2 ½
acre Dolphin Quest lagoon is located inside the magnificent
coral reef that surrounds the Moorea Beachcomber Intercontinental.
Lagoon Excursions
The opalescent lagoons surrounding the tropical island of

we say more?
Parasailing
Moorea has always provided visitors with a natural high, but
parasailing lets you soar to literal new heights. Pulled by
a 28 ft. boat, you can ascend as high as 300 feet over Moorea's
glistening lagoon.
Sailboat
Charter a boat and sail the translucent bays and lagoons around
Moorea. Visitors can swim or snorkel in the island's protected

Because of the lack of strong currents, the waters off Moorea
are superb for both experienced and beginning snorkelers.
The most popular underwater activities here are fish and shark
feeding.
Submarine Excursions
Indulge your inner explorer and take in a Moorean submarine
excursion. Plunge as low as 200 feet deep and marvel at the
island's undersea flora and fauna.
Tropical Aquarium Center
This highly-rated aquarium features a rainbow-assortment of
tropical fish. Guests can also visit a pearl farm along the
lagoon.
