If you have seen the movie Crazy Rich Asians, you probably noticed that the movie highlights some pretty amazing spots in Singapore.   Singapore is known for its high-end shopping, luxury hotel, and fine dining, but there are also some fantastic family-friendly attractions that will make your visit to Singapore worthwhile.

Here are 5 reasons to vacation in Singapore

Gardens By The Bay

Gardens by the Bay is a futuristic waterfront garden installation and you may remember seeing in the wedding reception scene in Crazy Ruch Asians.    The gardens feature domes that house thousands of plants and trees from around the world.    You will want to visit the Cloud Forest Dome to see the world’s tallest indoor waterfall or Flower Dome where is it is a perpetual spring!  Of course, no visit would be complete without seeing Supertree Grove.  With tree structures reaching over 160 feet tall, Supertree Grove is breathtaking.    The structures provide shade during the days and are lit up spectacularly at night.

Sentosa Island

Singapore is not really known as a beach destination, but you can find some fun in the sun at Sentosa Island.   Make your way to Siloso Beach for kayaking, volleyball or skimboarding or even try flying with a water-propelled jet pack.     Make sure to bring your camera to snap a picture of Merlion – the statute that has the head of a lion and a body of a fish.
